The Harlem Globetrotters and The Basement Doctor team up to support The Shalom House

Coming up on December 29, 2015, The Basement Doctor is teaming up with the famous Harlem Globetrotters for two games at The Schottenstein Center.

This year marks the fourth time that Ron Greenbaum and The Basement Doctor has participated in this fun community event. In the past, Ron has played with the opposing team and acted as a referee for the games, but this year he will be taking on a new role as coach to a special needs player from Shalom House. Shalom House is a member of Wexner Heritage Village, and offers residential living options for adults with developmental disabilities. Shalom House’s mission has become threatened recently by reductions in government funding, and Ron has stepped in to help replace the loss of public funding.

“Shalom House means a safe, caring, and nurturing environment for all who live there, including my own special needs daughter," he says. "I am incredibly excited to raise funds and educate the public about the program in such an entertaining and exciting way.”

We will be holding a 50/50 raffle at both games to support Shalom House. Each game will have its own winner. Half of the ticket sales will go to the lucky winner, and the other half will go directly to Shalom House.

The games will be at 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. The Basement Doctor is offering discounted tickets through ticketmaster.com. Use promo code BASEMENT to receive $7.00 off your ticket price.
